Working with various 3D scanning techniques including Photogrammetry, Kinect, Laser point clouds.

I’ve always been interested in computer vision, and I became fully 3D scanning literate with Tricorder plc. We produced 3D scanners primarily for the medical market. Such as for reconstructive surgery planning.

I also designed a kiosk version for our SIGGRAPH debut and our full body scanner was a hit with Disney and other production studios. This was back in the late 1990s and by early 2000s the Microsoft Kinect had come out with it’s fast processing and cheapness.

As well as developing 3D tools for data analysis, I’ve also designed various systems using the Kinect as the 3D scan device, for use with Interactive Tables and for festival interactive artworks and experientials.
